Evil City Air
Evil air cities
gun wielding sinners
hat wearing ,
cigar smoking winners .
Blood speckled windows
inside adorned by regalia
their power mad infested heads lie on golden pillows.
Poison pen letters
bullet chipped
death inviting gutters.
Suspension bridges
body filled fridges
lofty buildings
italic
gold in-scripted
coffin lid gilding's.
Covert operations
within the populous
infected nations
and murderers anonymous .
Fat lipped
fervently sipped
beers
handgrenade eyed
dead before they died
black marketeers .
Flash cars
stubbled skin sporting scars .
Neon signs
that blink through broken blinds .
Choke on a monoxide haze
then stumble around the double glazed maze
try and evade
the chav and his blade
dodge the bullets at the bus shelter as they cascade .

I dont want to die there .

A cynical and melancholy conveyance of urban life, filled with some strange and beautiful lines. The listing of the cities grimmer qualities was an inspired move, with each piece colluding as the piece rattles on to form one large, very gruesome picture. I must admit, your persistent focus on baroque, elaborate language is somewhat seductive.

This is like a weird take on Upon Westminster Bridge and Mike Skinner's lyrics. Nice.
I like the way words such as 'adorned', 'gilding's', 'cascade'...
make the whole thing less abrupt and more easy to flow, like a juxtaposition to the whole content of the poem. I dunno; that's just my strange take on it.
Good writing though.
