Knot of unbelief

Tight closed at dawn's bright hour
soft flesh and dewy sweet,
waking to the warming light,
bees, flies and sleepy badger
all combine to make the dawn
a resurection all can share,
free of steely moon and fox's cry.
Each day, beauty curled within
calyx shrouds, waiting
morning's prompt reply.
Robins pecking at the window,
bitter bud, soft and petals pink;
attar of roses fills the air
and dusty pollen chokes
in a knot of unbelief,
pale threads from the mulberry,
untying when the sun is high.
