Yet another dying sunset
The pain always seems to surface
An alcoholic blindness seeps into regretful torture
Chug-chug-chug-a-lug
Here's to you my friend
will it ever be put to an end
Have another
Another day boozed away
The night blacked out with darkness
O Dear God- the bottle replies
The devil awakens with laughter
Have another
Shots all around
Pray for my soul
My body has taken a toll
Have another
Can't you hear my cries?!
I want off this awful ride
round and round here goes
Have another
I dont want to be her
the night is young
Each shot stung withering down
Why must I be weak to such misery
False security
Break this routine before it swallows me whole

It is very hard to explain why I find this poem a C+.....the poetry is not bad...maybe it is one too many suicide poems read in one day.....I liked the words

Ahhh.. the evilness of that not so fun drunken night(s) Everytime I read it reminds me why i should never pick up a drink again.. Its worked for me so far:) I appreciate ur feedback. I also look forward to reading some of ur work.
