Almost
Any second now,
Something amazing is going to happen;
Nothing is definite yet,
But just maybe,
It's a little silence
Followed by a slow exhale
Into the eternal peace
Of your unconditional embrace-
All I've needed,
All along-
Just wait for me...
The train is finally gonna clear the tracks...
Any second now,
I'll cross over,
To the home land,
The promise land;
Where there is nothingi
As genuine and elegant
As my struggle for perfection...
Any second now,
I will ALMOST be,
The only thing you'll ever want.

Very good poem I'm just starting to write poetry and can tell this was has true emotion within the lines. Great. Just great.

Thank you. And if you like to write do it whenever it hits you regardless of what its about. I wrote this waiting for an unusually long train to pass on my way home one day.
