Forever Gone
The steel shines bright,
Under the glistening moonlight,
My flesh curls tight,
The blade cuts with might,
Because tonight will be the night,
That with this blade I’ll make things right,
From that wretched fight,
My pain has reached a new height,
Now a trio of glistening light upon my skin,
My tears my blade and my blood atop my flesh’s rim,
I can’t take this anymore.
Okay! You win,
You wanted me gone,
And so I walked out the door,
I thought I was enough,
But you wanted more.
Now I’ll help you get rid of me forever,
I’ll walk towards the light,
Indulge on a new endeavor,
For I have lost this fight,
This is my final farewell,
Farewell to you, and have a goodnight.
