Black Queen

Mother Earth gave birth to a precious & priceless jewel
If you don't know, Black Queen I'm talking 'bout you
You came through shining and divine as the Goddess you are
The only entity that's ever shone brighter is the North Star

Your guiding light has made our plight bearable and endurable
The spirit within you is the tool that's made life survivable
Without you we would've been malnourished and perished long ago
For as you already know this world constantly has us knocking on heaven's door

Once before brotha Malcolm described you as the most disrespected and unprotected
I've scribed this with an embedded kiss to inform you that your sacrifices are duly noted
After I wrote this I held up my black fist acknowledging your struggle still exist
The feminist among you sometimes causes our opportunities to have a unified fight to be missed
