The Young

Beneath the shade of
an untrimmed
Juniper tree children
swing from
Hemp ropes while
singing innocent
rhymes about killing.

The girls with their lace gloved hands
 and their  lace bonnets.
They use nets
made from a
Reed switch
 to catch gentle
Swallowtails.

With no intentions
of ever letting them go
