3 Simple Rules
A darkened heart,
black as storm clouds,
still reaches out to you.
A tangle of lies,
despite myself,
unravels on the floor.
I'll wrap myself in them.
In my cocoon of obscenities
and harsh never ending words,
I'll remember the lessons
I've learned through you.
Never forget that you've been burned.
Never remember the pain of yesterday.
Never say you're sorry,
even if you are.

still reaches out to you.
A tangle of lies,
despite myself,
unravels on the floor.
I'll wrap myself in them.
In my cocoon of obscenities
and harsh never ending words,
I'll remember the lessons
I've learned through you.
Never forget that you've been burned.

Never say you're sorry,
even if you are.
