Ladder To Nowhere
Climbing ever higher each time
Ever further to fall into decline
Rods of sanity broken true
Lies of deception from you
Thawing ice flooding streams
Invasion of water in my dreams
Salvation found in salivating
From distant images recreating
Half dragon and half cat met
Lofty goals of the Devil's pet
Searing love that is never found
Buried mere inches underground
Scratching nails to dig through
Break the bonds of external glue
I slowly climb up each slippery rung
To slide back down to the place I begun
