Lazarus Speaks
Lazarus Speaks
Arisen from his burial tomb
He departs his death cave
Wrapped inside a white shroud
From lonely darkness he is saved
Once dead but now again alive
He speaks of things he has seen
Of when death walked by his side
Until his presence was no longer deemed
The skin that once was his treasure
It is now blemished and falling away
He is no longer who he once was
He now walks only by night, hides by day
Though he is now far from the grave
He is closer than he has ever been
Though once dead but not anymore
He will revisit his tomb by his own hand again
Arisen from his burial tomb
He departs his death cave
Wrapped inside a white shroud
From lonely darkness he is saved
Once dead but now again alive
He speaks of things he has seen
Of when death walked by his side
Until his presence was no longer deemed
The skin that once was his treasure
It is now blemished and falling away
He is no longer who he once was
He now walks only by night, hides by day
Though he is now far from the grave
He is closer than he has ever been
Though once dead but not anymore
He will revisit his tomb by his own hand again
