Setting Your Mind Free
In 1975 America was full of people who
had set their mind free...you were cool if you
had set your mind free...but it was a set up...
the mind free joke came to a bad ending
it was not very long into the 1980s they had
every prison and jail full of free minds in
America...the beginning of the end had come
then they started building more prisons
they are still building more today and there
won't be no end to it...and all those people
in 1975 who thought their mind was free...
they were so brainwashed...they had no real
thoughts of a police state in their minds while
they had set their mind free and the lockdown
was just around the corner and it came quickly
had set their mind free...you were cool if you

I am writing some poems or stories about some things i seen in the 60s and 70s before I forget them this is one of them...I went to a rock concert in Phoenix AZ it was held in a baseball stadium and when it was over I bet they were 2000 people laying in a coma from that angel dust they were giving away that later became Zanax...there were more drugs on the streets in the 70s than now and the police would let you almost get by with anything...I was a complete dumb-ass then and still may be but some wild shit went on in those days that is hard to believe when I remember it

Yes, and a lot of innocents also went to said jail or where put in danger due to hateful over reactive establishment types who believed that freedom meant you had to be perfect or you were treated like trash.. stigma of class etc.. if you were poor you would be treated like this even if you did nothing wrong technically, but one mistake could land you dead or in jail. I know.... I could tell tales.
