Love is missing at this time of year
We are all aware of one older
Person alone who is left to their
Own devices regardless of Love
Shown. No sense of care or duty
Leaving them to their own fate
Without a single thought to what
That might be. Regardless of the
Love that he had tried to show
For decades. It all means nothing.
Love, caring and support pissed on
The word ‘family’ dissolves in gallons
Of crocodile tears and easily let blood
Parentage rubbished as useless.  
Despite it being appropriate and
Generally generationally expected
The term abuse hijacked by people
That know nothing of real abuse
And might have behaved better and
Acted with compassion if they had
This new resistance to fatherhood
Is nothing new but sadly it still exists
So a man walks a lonely road for
Finally getting of his knees and
Is therefore punished by those he
Loved and those that lied about
Loving him.
He carries a soft toy puppy dog
As predicted and his predictions
Come true and take hold brazenly
