Memories of Distrust

What have you wrought?
a smothering indistinctness of shock as memories scream.
once we tasted wonderment,
untainted and open,
but your thirst soured.
a hateful morass of bitterness you had for me -
emotions follow night, follow hate,
trust ground to dust.
in a torrent of righteousness,
you fooled others
I hate you for the past you bought.
