Lisa, You Break My Heart

No I won't bother you anymore
Or dream about you down on the floor
Any more than I would a common whore
And you know that isn't under my hat
I have too much on my mind for thoughts like that
But I think I should let you know
Lisa you break my heart

Why do I keep trying to phone?
"Call me later, call me back tomorrow"
The reasons I call I don't want to know
But I fear that I call you all too often
A love never as one cannot fall apart
So here's one last call to let you know
Lisa you break my heart

I must have forgotten that love is naive
It's made me foresee what can never be
Our children only my mind can conceive
For my love will remain forever a fantasy
Because I've grown too thick-headed to believe
A life without love, forever free
Is this man's destiny

I know your pain as something we share
I opened my ears and my heart to you
How can you treat me as if you don't care?
I'd have to be a fool to keep calling you
So I hope you're not home the next time I phone
"Call me later, call me back tomorrow"
Woman, you break my heart!
