The Card a Rank Above
The World is but a game
A table where players meet
Few play for their pleasure,
Many seek to survive.
A world where the rich cheat,
Where the poor gamble more,
And the average watch scared,
Praying they will fair well.
We seek a card above
The ranks of the rich hands,
But we may have handed
The best card over instead.
A card a rank above
We average pray for it,
The poor dies over it,
But we are so afraid,
That we discard swiftly,
The rich picks from our loss.
We in danger because
Of our fear and distrust.
Hope that we do not lose,
The deck will be shuffled,
We shall have our card back.
We shall play again.
