As a non-smoker who has felt trapped in the box of a car with a smoker on numerous occasions, I probably shouldn't mention how many times I wished that smoke would choke the person making me breathe their toxic exhale. But since smokers also breathe in their own second hand smoke and then whatever's left after I exhale it, making it third hand smoke, I get a little bit of satisfaction knowing how they will die... jj

I can certainly relate to what you have said. Being now a non-smoker, I always considered others when I did smoke and would not do so in their presents when 2nd hand smoke was an issue. And, I will add, the smell of smoke in their cars or on clothes now stinks to me. I suppose a small downside to quitting. Thanks for the visit and words.  AT

I live in a similar place (lol) - I gave up smoking a year ago - not for health reasons, more like financial the cigarettes I smoked are nearly £10:00 per pack and I was smoking two packs a day - I'll let you do the math (lol)

I really enjoyed this it sparked my grey matter today :-)

Thank You David, I'm glad to have been able to return a favor as to "sparking the gray matter" for you do so for many others as well. The fuel poem is but a humorous thought on a matter of miscalculation that happens more frequently to me than I care to think about  :-) as I'm sure others experience also.  
 
A year is a great achievement. I quit some years ago for 4 months but found an old pack lying around and thought "Just one won't hurt" BIG BIG mistake. So, now I am trying again. Prices here are about half what you said, and although the savings brought by  quitting is nice, my reasons are health related.

possibly inhaling unwanted smoke makes u a grade a person in my eyes...hate smoking...well, unless it's weed lol that's not an annoying odor lol
