A soothsayer he wanted to be
in an alternate reality
where time is not defined
in terms of future, present and past...
But he was a practical man...
How could he his routine,
his balanced life keep,
if he let his mind
abducted by alien thoughts?
Yes, he was a practical man...
After all
the wire makes the acrobat,
but, it is the net underneath it
that saves him...

Liked the first stanza alot. The reference to the past, present and future reminded me of a basic Tarot spread. I also like how you compare and contrast the fantasy with the practical.
