The Fire Inside

A sick and scared young teenage girl;
Living in a complicated and scary world;
No matter what the doctors try to do;
The treatments became rather scarce and few;
Her life has turned into nothing it seems;
The illness crushed and stomped on her dreams;
But, once bright morning, a fire grew within her;
A fire that saved her, that she was sure;
Fire that made her want to get up and live;
Even though she felt she has nothing left to give;
A fire that shook her core and opened her mind;
Maybe her life wasn't over, she soon came to find;
Fire that made her stand and face her many fears;
Speaking out to those far and near;
Fire that made her face what had occurred;
Thanks to the fire that grew within her
