Forgotten God
His Heart once filled with the praises of his name.
Now cold and lifeless.
Like the coffin of unmarked grave.
His memory, long since lost from the minds of men,
Causes his spirit to fade.
It glows so dimly now.
But a dying ember.
With no one left to fan it's flame.
Whimpered words.
"Where are you my children?"
So lonely and desperate.
Searching for even smallest hint of love.
But fall only upon deaf ears.
Teardrops.
From the eyes of a forgotten God.
Streaking across the skies,
Like Angels cast down from Heaven.
Filled they are with such great misery and pain.
They are set ablaze and are consumed in his sorrows.
"Why have they forsaken me?"
Echoes So gently throughout the void.
With arms outstretched.
Seeking one last embrace.
Yet they find only emptiness, for all have turned away.
In moans, He whispers His last breath of life.
Which once blew such a cool breeze upon the souls of men.
"I Love You My Children"
In silent death, he falls forever.
Into thee abyss.
To be remembered no more. . .
Now cold and lifeless.
Like the coffin of unmarked grave.
