I know its been hard. Maybe harder than I expected.
But part of me felt it was necessary.
Because I do love you.
I want you to grow.
Maybe its selfish of me to feel like it has to happen.
Or want it to happen.
That I want to see you aspire to an intelligent, professional and beautifully confident woman.
Maybe thats too fatherly as well.
But I selfishly want that.
So sometimes I want you to find the inspiration in yourself
     to examine your insecurities and turn them into strengths.
To bring out your social prowess in a comfortable flow
     that I see glimpses of.
It's wonderful to watch you when You are You
   without the burden of whether what you did is right or wrong.
Seeing you live with spontaneity.
That is where I see you come alive.
And it's not easy, so I try to give you some ideas on how to get there.
I hope one them will stick.
Despite all that.
You are amazing as you are right this moment.
That much is true and will always be true.
