Need or want?

If I said I need to be in you
How true would that that statement be
Would oxygen be denied
Another day not for me to see?

No life isn't predicated on a bodily coupling
For too dramatic a claim is true
More to the point is strong want
Passion makes me know not what to do

For if I wonder when we did embrace
Fantasy greater the reality
Could it be all a delusion
That connection a false sense of glee

Since nothing can be guaranteed
No one should presume any moment in time
One thing that is probable
Is me cherishing your charms here in my mind

So yes a touch would lead to an overflow of lust
Much worse can be found in another space
With so much misery in today's headlines
A pleasant thought is just looking at your face
