XoXoXo(XXXX)
You were born translucent
And like everyone who is not the hundredth monkey
You arrived deliciously green and ordinary
You were composed in a rhythm
(Of which you may always deny)
But you were woven and wired to grow inside
Your ancestrally thickened skin
Which has subsequently afforded you the armoury
To dive deep into the coldest sea
And drift away from the shore that shaped the bad and the best in you
And it is the might of this mind set adrift that astounds me
You float on bold musings and left brain inventions
Backed up by a history of salty gestures and gutsy action
You grab at ‘intelligent’ attention and cultivate an audience
To tie yourself to
And for another moment
The ancestral apparition is forgotten.
But did you know it leads you on ?
And your enablers
Into tangled and confused impressions of musty seasons
It suffocates eternity and denies responsibility
For context and effect
Your led on
To drift away always
With the swells of your mind
So when you take up the pen
And write those translucent words
To anchor your heart
And reveal the depth of your soul
It may be another attempt
To rework your true south
And like everyone who is not the hundredth monkey
You arrived deliciously green and ordinary
You were composed in a rhythm
(Of which you may always deny)
But you were woven and wired to grow inside
Your ancestrally thickened skin
Which has subsequently afforded you the armoury
To dive deep into the coldest sea
And drift away from the shore that shaped the bad and the best in you
And it is the might of this mind set adrift that astounds me
