How could you love
As the sun rises my love awakens,
Even for the side of you that I can't understand,
The side of you that has kept you from me,
I search deep within myself to love that side,
One may ask how,
How could you love a side that can't love you,
How could you love a side that's dark,
How could you love a side that doesn't know,
Doesn't know what love is,
Doesn't know what love feels like,
Doesn't know what reciprocating love means,
I say how can you not,
With loving comes healing,
With loving comes understanding,
With loving comes accepting,
With loving comes teaching,
With loving comes growth,
With loving comes the breakage of burdens,
Breakage of the chips that have been collected,
From failed attempts of love,
From depression because of not being appreciated,
From isolation because of the fear of rejection,
A soul like mine refuses to withhold love from a lost heart,
A lost mind,
That side of you will no longer go unnoticed,
A side that's scared to love is the only reason one needs to know,
To know to shower that side with love that's foreign
