White rabbit.

White as the clouds and soft as cotton sleeping underneath the serpent.
The white rabbit dies looking up at the serpent and weeps softly.
Mouth unhinged and engulfing the rabbits form.

The serpent stays up at night restless and curled in a ball of regret.
'I have eaten the most pure thing i have ever known.'
That winter the serpent wasted away day after day.

The serpent dies knowing that it has thrown away what made it what it was in exchange for forgiveness from a creature that  cost it its life and reason to live.
