Unmethaphored
You forgave and you forego
Your lungs opened and unburdened
breath fully, freely expanding your rib cage
To live and be alive
The forgiven sent you a message
requesting final acceptance and indulgence
As he was assembling the pieces
of the edifice they built together
Out of clue and full of hope
Their bodies merged and swelled
weaving a weak sense of peace
But the tension
The tension of the unattainable
The smell of freedom and new beginnings
these widely opened doors
And recollections of insults
Summarizing an uneasy end to it
is just not the same
Unmethaphored like it was
Your lungs opened and unburdened
breath fully, freely expanding your rib cage
To live and be alive
The forgiven sent you a message
requesting final acceptance and indulgence
As he was assembling the pieces
of the edifice they built together
Out of clue and full of hope
Their bodies merged and swelled
weaving a weak sense of peace
But the tension
The tension of the unattainable
The smell of freedom and new beginnings
these widely opened doors
And recollections of insults
Summarizing an uneasy end to it
is just not the same
Unmethaphored like it was
