The forbidden fruit.

I've been through this once before.
Seeking love where it's hard to find.
But I cannot resist her souls' allure.
And we only have such little time.
Her eyes deep, gateways to what is inside.
I reach in with my own to the place she goes to hide.
I can't resist this pounding inside of my chest.
Our lips collide with subtle grace.
In this moment I put my courage to the test.
In this moment nothing else exists inside of our space.
Before I could even think.
The chance to savor was over.
My emotions caught sail fully.
On a ship that is bound to sink.
But I cant walk away afraid.
No instead I'll fight with what is left.
For a life without her spirit.
Is nothing more than life after my hearts' death.
