A Heavy Heart

It is nice to have someone who will listen  
Someone to hear you through
It is nice to have someone who will listen  
For when we come unglued  
 
We would be better off alone  
If we could only settle  
But the loneliness comes creeping back
Crying like a burning kettle  
 
What can be done to rest this tension?  
Sometimes we go with masturbation-  
But in the end, after our release,
We end up back with our frustration
 
I would like to say
"That things will work out."
But every good thought
Is followed with doubt  
 
But there is always hope;
All things come with time  
And I hope I have lifted some wieght from your heart;
By being here to listen  
And writing you this rhyme
