Helter skelter

A baron bought a swanky mansion
Threw a party
for the highborn
and the glitterati
The guests were on cloud nine
having caviar and wine
While they were having a ball
A shadowy figure scaled the wall
A strange body odour annoyed
the terrier and the rottweiler
Three guards and an officer
were bludgeoned by the intruder
The celebration reached it's crescendo
The intruder barged in thru the windo
As he swung his sledgehammer
the house was gripped with clamour
While he hammered the wall
of the main hall
The cops arrived
captured him alive
took his sledgehammer
threw him in the slammer
Was arraigned before the law officer
for burglary and murder
Thus spake the inmate
