School Bus Days
I miss those school bus days
When nothing seemed to matter.
The days moved fast
And leaves changed time.
The chill of winter left me cold
But spring brought life
To my dreams again.
I grew to know the smell
Of summertime beneath my toes.
But every year before I could blink
The bus stop would come calling
And I would head out laughing
Without a care in the world.
Oh how I miss
Those school bus days.
When nothing seemed to matter.
The days moved fast
And leaves changed time.
The chill of winter left me cold
But spring brought life
To my dreams again.
I grew to know the smell
Of summertime beneath my toes.
But every year before I could blink
The bus stop would come calling
And I would head out laughing
Without a care in the world.
Oh how I miss
Those school bus days.
