UNBREAKABLE SOLDIER
Ammunition and an honorable mission
permission to retreat from overpowered position
I was given an order but I'm just not obeying it
I ran out of ammo, but I still have my bayonet
Fiery flame from the mortar shoots fire
while my wiry frame slips through the barbed wire
Write my name down in a tomb or a tome
as I fight for a flag and a freedom still known

BAYONET - WIRY - TOME
I have never seen war nor served in the military
although I have seen some brutal things in life
I admire the courage and strength of all soldiers
and will continue to do so.
I will write down the words that they whisper to me
In the hospital, as I change out the old dispensers

Read this offline, jumped onto say awesome piece with much depth. My 86 years old neighbor is a vet; it is important to listen to what they have to say about life.
