Gravity
An unimaginable force,
pressing its sharp elbow
into my sternum, lungs, heart, chest.
An unimaginable force,
feeding off of my innocence
gnawing me clean, leaving only
the wavy brown hair you used to play with
the small hips you touched so many times
the wild eyebrows you said looked like yours
the veins you liked to trace over at night.
An unimaginable force,
you left me,
but I still feel you-
a dark gravity pulling me down into the sadness from which you were born.
pressing its sharp elbow
into my sternum, lungs, heart, chest.
An unimaginable force,
feeding off of my innocence
gnawing me clean, leaving only
the wavy brown hair you used to play with
the small hips you touched so many times
the wild eyebrows you said looked like yours
the veins you liked to trace over at night.
An unimaginable force,

but I still feel you-
a dark gravity pulling me down into the sadness from which you were born.
