Not I, But He.
I said I would not hurt you
You hoped that I had lied
What it was you did not know
You would wish that you had died
It was anything physical
I just broke your heart in two
And left your spirit in tatters
You watched me do it but never ever knew
When I said I would fuck you
You smiled and looked surprised
I was talking about your head
And leave you feeling so despised
So what is your worth now
As you lay upon your bed
Not wanting to face the world
The world you now do dread
Those eyes that used to sparkle
Your hair that appeared to shimmer
Like your skin that used to shine
All look so much dimmer
This is where I want you
Or maybe want you no more
Why would anyone want you
Now that your my whore
So I'll walk away and leave you
Leave your to your fate
It's not me that you don't like
It's yourself that you now hate
Part two
He came across you at a bad time
When you were feeling crushed
He knew when he looked in your eyes
That this really can't be rushed
He breathed life back into you
Waiting for some life too flicker
He knew he had to make you well
And stop you getting sicker
He read and sang sweet things to you
The words reflect a feeling
And as they sink inside your mind
You could almost see them healing
Slowly the life started to come back
It was your eyes, the first to shine
The enlightenment coming back
That gave him the first sign
How could someone so precious
So beautiful and sweet
Be treated like you were treated
By such a lowly cheat
He took his time and loved you
Made you feel your worth
Let you start your life again
So you felt rebirth
He will never be your lover
He will always be your friend
You thought your life was over
But this is the start and not the end
You hoped that I had lied
What it was you did not know
You would wish that you had died
It was anything physical
I just broke your heart in two
And left your spirit in tatters
You watched me do it but never ever knew
