I found myself sleeping with my eyes wide open the other day

These exquisite images of the days when everything was new covered my mind so vividly

Particularly the day you kissed me

Palms sweaty to the touch your eyes gazed upon me so timidly

Playful laughter soft music and the softest grip laid gently on my hip comforted me

Nerves filled the air but the dreaminess of your eyes captured me and I knew you were mine

Pretending to be unaffected by your sudden need for affection that I had longed for laid
heavily

Patiently awaiting your lips I began to grow sheepish

Thinking of the fact that we were so far in and haven't experienced the taste of our joint uniqueness

You didn't even notice the change in my energy
