Landmine
I went and stepped on his land-mine
Best foot forward
I didn't see the sparks until
Fireworks bloomed
Now I know the devil is real
In tailored suits
He wears shining silver cuff-links
And spills my blood
With a yellow prescription pad
Little vices
He keeps me, his doped up lab rat
Lost in his maze
And lost forever in his eyes
I reel, comply
I longed to be damned within him
Feel fireflies
Tickling songs against my ribcage
Fingers trailing
In his office with the door locked
Secrets are known
His fingers tangled in my hair
I have come home
Best foot forward
I didn't see the sparks until
Fireworks bloomed
Now I know the devil is real
In tailored suits
He wears shining silver cuff-links
And spills my blood
With a yellow prescription pad
Little vices
He keeps me, his doped up lab rat
Lost in his maze
And lost forever in his eyes
I reel, comply
I longed to be damned within him
Feel fireflies
Tickling songs against my ribcage
Fingers trailing
In his office with the door locked
Secrets are known
His fingers tangled in my hair
I have come home
