          When you walked out the door    
          I told my friends a lie    
          I said I shed no tears    
          But all the time    
          You’re on my mind    
          And it’s been ten years    
   
          Time is always flowing    
          But nothing’s really fading    
          Only older - still carrying    
          Regrets on my shoulder    
          The feeling more familiar    
          I close my eyes...    
          And I see her    
   
          I know dreaming is not living    
          I’m breathing my life away    
          Giving my tomorrow    
          For a little yesterday    
   
          There’s a will    
          There’s a way  
          I will forget you some day    
          But right now    
          The feeling  
          Is sweeping    
          Me away  
   
          And things didn’t turn out    
          Like the plans I made    
          In love and life    
          They say it’s just that way    
          Time heals all wounds    
          But I only pine away    
   
          And late tonight I will retire    
          I know I will    
          Dreaming love survived    
          Wounded but alive    
          And it really doesn’t matter    
          Whether or not  
          Someone’s beside me    
          You were overkill
