"I just really need a break."
Ten years, five months, three weeks
I've had a lot of time to think
I burned all three letters
All unread
I don't hate you
I never could
And I'm not mad
But I haven't seen your sister in seven years
I haven't picked up the phone to call her either
And she looks like you now
But instead she looks happy
I'm not sure how to process that
I don't look at the color red the same way
Shallow water makes me anxious
Sometimes I wonder
If I hit three more stop lights
Or if I was fourteen and a half minutes early
Would it have made a difference at all?
"I'm so sorry."
