Drenched in Sorrow

The rain is falling again
For me that's normally a win
But not today
I FEEL the gray
It's closing in
Much to my chagrin

The beast is stomping around inside
There seems to be in no one I can confide
Tears are stinging my eyes fighting to burst forth
As I contemplate what is my life worth

These burdens that I carry are weighing heavy
They threaten to tear down my levy
My wall
Ment to hold it all

But the rain today is becoming a flood
I'm afraid today I'll be sucked into the mud
No need to dig my grave
As I watch the ground around my feet cave

My guardian angel I fired
My spirit is tired
My willpower expired
Agony and sorrow is all I've acquired

Feeling today it's no longer worth the fight
How easily a bullet to head would end this plight
A few might cry
Ask the reason why
But their life would go on
Time would still sing it's song

This cold falling rain
Normally soothes my pain
Today it's drenching me in sorrow
I worry there maybe no tomorrow
