I Dared Not

Some men would die for her
she is captivatingly beautiful
her bosom radiating an flame eternal
her lips exuding feverish passion
possessing a soothing touch

she encompasses womanliness
much more than phenomenal far beyond comparison
she breeds precarious obsessions
jealousy & envy her identical twins
a packaged deal worth every risk
where ever she goes they also go
consuming and consummating the hearts of all lovers

the words "I would die for you"
rolls off the tongue like dice
at a las vegas roulette table
foolish men gamble their lives away
hoping for an opportunistic chance liaison
they lay their weak hand of cards on the table
foolishly knowing that the house always wins

Me Tho!

I'd rather live for her
be awakened next to her
caressing her entire being
exponentially growing with her
creating royal family bloodlines
building dynasties fill with knowledge and wealth
existing uniformly, in oneness

because to be absent from her
even if for only a brief moment
feels like the coldness of death itself
I dare not spend an eternity staring into the frigid eyes of death
while I can live basking in the glow of love and beauty
absorbing the genuine warmth of her divine light

I am no fool, I like a sure thing
no one remembers second fiddle
winning her heart was everything
and you cannot not lose everything
if you don't play her rigged game
I refused to lose, I dared not lose

I dare not I tell you, I dared not I say

I dared not
