Sway
wanted to be
outside
so i could watch
your eyes catch the sunlight;
enveloped,
your form fluid and malleable
(a ray of light in motion)
at night
your cigarette-lit-face
glowed,
sometimes as though with
quiet laughter
from some
inside joke
(even if it'd been at my expense,
please let me in)
I wasn't even sure
at
any given point
that you were
actually
real, but
(the sky's falling/
the sky's...)
i didn't necessarily mind,
so long as you
held me.
