Let Me In

The mind's door is locked,
yet here I stand
knocking...no, banging
on another.

"Let me in?"
My voice slips out
nervously calm on a line but thin,
"I'm a good listener and no short of helpful when it comes to life and advice."
Speaking relentless in more of a confident tone I begin,
to hear me repeat myself, "Please....let me in!"

Clamoring tumblers
of the locks opening chore,
still.....no answer
from a certain sought someone
behind this fortress door.

A certain someone who wishes then in my head yells, "Go away!"
Here to stand with help in hand
my gentle reply, "For I just came
today."
Came, as fast as raven's wings soar
face to face with insipid psychosis, hoping mails received in slot therefore....opening the door.

For rarely, truly one thus far has much patience wrapping,
tapping on solid stone, fear intrepid, that really I might be all alone;
Nobody's bothered knocking, when no light presently places anybody home, and the voice heard so far off but thin.......subconscious answering on the outs, while I'm tapping, wrapping, knocking from within.
