Writer
When he writes he does so without fear of the vulnerability the words reveal. He writes without regard for the judgement of patrons near & far that may hold him in question. He writes without pause from a heart, damaged & imperfect that bleeds it's tragic story onto the page. He writes without remorse for the vicious betrayal each stroke of the pen inflicts upon himself. He writes as the man he IS, not the man his critics demand he should be. Because when he writes, he does so as the last surviving witness of the conflict. He is a writer; it's what we do!..

you bet it is what the critics want, dig to the truth and leave the ego alone.
This is the only way to be a real writer. it is learning how to reveal that truth in a captivating way that matters.
