Love at First Sight

I never knew it was real
I never knew it exist
I always though of it as a myth
until my eyes gazed at beauty
my heart hit my chest has fast as it could
I thought it was going to rip out of my chest
and chase her away
but I wont care if it did happen
since my heart will always chase you
to find out if you feel the same about me

My heart is aching
Every time I look at you
I'm hypnotized by your beauty
I have fallen into love
with someone i barely know

I sit and try to figure this out
cuffing my hands around my head
trying to think what to do
next thing I know I'm in my happy place
every trouble isn't there
all I see is you under a tree
in the mid summer spring air
I pull a rose out of the ground
walk up to her and lean against the tree
she looks up at me
her baby blue eyes shine bright
her smile makes the sun seem not as bright
rapidly gets up and throws herself at me
"Why is it that we can only be alone in your world?
why can't we make it real?"

Looking up I'm back where I am
sitting there thinking
but when I open my hand
a rose blossoms from my palm
looking around I dont see her
I get up and realize shes by the tree outside
Smiling like I haven't in awhile
I walk slowly to her
get on one knee
and hand her the rose
She smiles bright and couldn't stop from shedding a single tear
"This is sweet.
I knew you would come around."
I look at her with a question mark
"Because I never thought it was real
I thought it was a lie
but when I saw you
my heart wanted you to be mine."

Now that were walking in the sunshine
are hands locked together
with our hearts smiling like never before
All I have to say
"Love at first sight is true."
