Graveyard Picnic
Come with me to the graveyard in Spring
With lost souls we will linger until day gives way to evening.
We'll lay our picnic blanket under a wise old tree,
Share a basket of fruit, and recite poetry.
Our declarations of timeless verse
Will rouse the ghosts from their ancient tombs
Delighted, we will witness
As they dance in the pale of the moon.
Spot each shooting star with me,
Trace the twilight sky
Recite the deepest truth with me,
Indeed, we too shall die.
