In her Eyes

Little things running through her mind.
school.
just one big routine that she goes through.
daydreaming to pass the time.
people walking by her
blurs as they pass her by
Their voices mumbled as if she was underwater.
everythings changing in her eyes
no one notices her.
invisible to everyone
she only gets noticed at home
little things upsetting her "parents"
those little things causing them to yell
those "parents" that aren't even hers
the yelling of obscenities and insults
"you're not even our kid!"
"Go away!"
"you aren't worth the time"
causing her to hideout in her room
painting herself a picture on her skin to deal with the pain
her tears mixing with the pain

her favorite color to paint with
no one knows her
what she goes through everyday
the girl who hides her pain away
behind a smile
behind her sweatshirts
in her eyes
smiling is okay
because she hopes that one day
in her eyes
it will all be okay.
