Looking into the blackness of night
Remembering the happiness
I once had
Your smile and voice burned into my mind
Your laugh sometimes awakens me in the night
And just for a moment
It feels like you're there beside me.
Then I realize it was all a dream
You left me many years ago
No good bye, no words were said
You knew the time had come
Just a soft kiss was placed
upon my head.
