When Paths Meet

I pass by your street
On my way to work everyday
Hoping one day our paths meet
Just to see you again
Would be oh so sweet

It's been years since I've seen you
You were my closest friend
We were perfectly in love
For awhile then you became jaded
But for me that love never faded

I remember when we kissed
You were looking down at me
My head in your lap
Tears in my eyes
How weak I was
You kissed me then
With those sweet lips
The first kiss built on a lie
I regret it
But my love for you isn't a lie
And I can never just say goodbye

I pass by your street
On my way to work everyday
Hoping one day our paths meet
Just to see you again
Would be oh so sweet

Remember how
I'd wait hours for you to get ready
I'm still sitting in that car
Waiting on you to realize
You don't need no makeup
Or a pretty dress
Because I'll always love
When your hairs a hot mess
There is a forever with me
And I'm not gonna stop
No I'm not gonna stop
Till you have a diamond ring
On that finger baby
