Love Come Find Me
I found love
where you'd least expect.
A place where demons
can't survive,
a place where I
can't run and hide.
I found love
in the rain
when it slips from the
clouds' whithering grasp,
plummeting to earth;
washing away my tears
as it slides down my face.
I found love
in the flowers
where the bees swarm
reproducing beauty,
imitating magnificence.
Don't stand too close
or splendor is replaced with
fatal anguish.
I found love
in the whispers of the wind
that call me closer.
It rushes past my ears,
tugs at my clothing.
Sweet smells swirl
around me while I stand
in endless trance.
I found love
buried deep in the blankets
where terrors dare not venture.
I found love
in the stitches that piece
together my skin, my life.
I found love,
but only for love to find another.
where you'd least expect.
A place where demons
can't survive,
a place where I
can't run and hide.
I found love
in the rain
when it slips from the
clouds' whithering grasp,
plummeting to earth;
washing away my tears
as it slides down my face.
I found love
in the flowers
where the bees swarm
reproducing beauty,
imitating magnificence.
Don't stand too close
or splendor is replaced with
fatal anguish.
I found love
in the whispers of the wind
that call me closer.
It rushes past my ears,
tugs at my clothing.
Sweet smells swirl
around me while I stand
in endless trance.
I found love
buried deep in the blankets
where terrors dare not venture.
I found love
in the stitches that piece
together my skin, my life.
I found love,
but only for love to find another.
