Blood isn't better.
To Mum and Dad.
You didn't give birth to me,
but you gave me life.
I hang on your every word,
I hope I make you proud.
I want to be the child you weren't able to have.
I know that I am your daughter
and I know that you love me.
But I can only wonder what your own blood would look like.
If you had your own daughter, she would be in her early thirties.
She would tan in the summer and her golden eyes would shine so bright.
She would have fantastic legs,
she would be an artist.
I am thankful that you couldn't bare a child.
Because, that meant you found me.
You helped a six year old girl feel
an emotion, other than loneliness.
I don't think you'll ever know,
just how much you have helped me with myself.
I love you eternally.
You didn't give birth to me,

I hope I make you proud.
