Solely impression

(Written for Al's, "Tribute to David Bowie" competition)

You loved us, you loved us, you said you did,
there is no wind for you indeed
you are the wind, you are the wild
you are everything you wanted to be in your mind.

With our kiss your death begins, there’s no taboo
it’s not the same, everything is now still,
the sound, the melody, the space you took with you.

All the pretty flowers and the lightening of your face
the legal smoke of Amsterdam and an Allen’s Ginsberg phrase
create the black star you left us as a final gift
you thought of us in your last print
by changing the color of the night
from black to white, makes us feel that everything is alright.

Girls love you and guys adore you with no control
You’ll be the Lazarus of every emotion
You’ll be Major David to sky control
there will be no pressure up there, solely impression.

You enter smoothly in the verse that nobody likes:
"Without you, I'm nothing".
