Burnt Angels
Just light the tinder
at my feet
let the flame
engulf me
Steal what you want
and burn the rest
Killing me with it
laying me to rest
You flee the inferno
leaving me to die
Then the unexpected
happens, she is by my side
She tugs and pulls
on the ropes
But they hold still
inide of the smoke
I tell her to go
and save herself
She tries to pull me
out and yells for help
She tells me she loves me
and gives me one last kiss
My organs are burnt and
I cease to exist
I burst from my body
as an angel
And I carry her out
Of the rubble
She cries and cries
I see tears in her eyes
I lay her on the grass
and then dies
She awakes now an angel
with golden eyes
I hug and kiss her
And then I ask why.....
